To gain work experience
As a student, it is important to gain work experience while in school. Keep in mind, without any work experience, you can expect to receive a lot of rejection notices concerning your resume, or in other instances, you will probably be limited to an entry level position, upon graduation. Believe me; this is the reality if you do not act now. There are many companies listed on the World Wide Web that offer summer internships to high school and college students. You will need to submit a cover letter, a resume, a copy of your grade transcripts and maybe a letter of recommendation from a teacher or business leader within your community.
Sometimes it is hard not to notice that beautiful woman at the copier machine or the handsome male manager in accounting. For single people in the workplace, it can be tempting to date fellow co-workers, but you can pay a heavy price for a summer or winter fling at work.
In some movies or television shows, dating in the workplace is depicted as a wonderful experience. The people exchange numbers, start dating and eventually jump the broom at their wedding ceremony. In reality, many relationships in the workplace do not end at the altar. However, some individuals do experience the fairy tale romance in the workplace, and then they live happy ever after!
